Ready for the Honeymoon
Whether it’s a castle or a log cabin, a yacht or a yurt, the honeymoon is one of those essential luxuries.
Is a candlelit dinner eaten under the stars romantic enough for you? How about if the setting is the Serengeti plains and it comes at the end of an unforgettable day on a luxury African safari watching the most remarkable wildlife in the world?
After the hectic pace of the few months leading up to the wedding why not slow right down. Hire a horse drawn Gypsy caravan in Ireland and unwind while you breathe the sweet air and take in the ‘forty shades of green’ of the Irish countryside.
It’s a toss-up whether Paris or Venice deserve the title of ‘most romantic city in the world. Both are popular honeymoon destinations. But if you are getting married in the winter and if skiing is your activity of choice you can now combine a short stay in Venice with a longer ski-break in the Dolomites.
And if you feel that you’d like to share a little of your good fortune and take on a challenge at the same time more and more couples are volunteering to help with community projects or conservation work while on honeymoon. That doesn’t mean you need to cut back on luxury. Many companies offer stylish accommodation and the chance to relax and explore as well as work.
