MIDLANDS THREE EAST (SOUTH)
Bedford Queens continued their poor form with a 21-7 home defeat to Brackley. The match was a physical encounter in which they tried to keep themselves in contention but ultimately, paid the price for their poor finishing.
Brackley posted two early tries to give the home side a mountain to climb. But Queens scored through Del Starling on 14 minutes with Ave Morris converting. A try just before half-time then made the score 21-7 in favour to the away side.
As the second half kicked off, Bedford looked to make full use of the wind that had been so against them in the first period but their wastefulness meant they failed to take away any points from the game.
Bedford Swifts won 15-7 against Brackley.
