Park and Dees crash out of cup

Midlands Intermediate Cup round two round-up

A disastrous ten-minute spell at the beginning of the second half cost Stockwood dear, as they lost 34-20 at home to Banbury.

The home side did score the first points of the day when Shaan Haque touched down in the 20th minute after some good break play with Jason Carr converting. Carr then added a penalty a few minutes later to increase their total.

Banbury dominated the next 40 minutes as they scored five tries. Ben Griffin and James Hankey scored two tries late on to decrease Banbury’s lead.

Elsewhere, Dunstablians lost 18-3 to Newbold on Avon in their cup tie.
