Losing streak continues for Ath

BEDFORD ATH 16 MALVERN 37
NATIONAL MIDS THREE

This was a disappointing performance from the Ath.

Paul Ryder opened the scoring with a penalty on two minutes but four tries and two conversions for the visitors saw them lead 24-6 at the break, after another consolation Ryder penalty on 12 minutes.

Ath began the second period well with Gary Acton going over for a try but two further tries and a penalty stretched Malvern’s lead to 37-11 before Phil Tipping rounded off the game’s scoring with an Ath try late on.
