Kelly Attwood, 16, and also in Year 12, won first place, and was awarded Bedfordshire County Champion in the 1.10m show, jumping round on the fabulous ‘Cillions Lux’.

Year 9 student Alyce Trude-Bates was the fifth fastest in her class of 70cm on ‘Doris’.

“The commitment and dedication shown by these girls, not to mention the skill and talent they possess, is amazing,” said Mrs Angela Pollard, Equestrian co-ordinator and founder of Bedford Modern School’s Equestrian Club.
