Luton boss Gary Brabin will not bring Hayes & Yeading midfielder Jamie Hand back to the club.
It had been thought that the former Watford man would return to Kenilworth Road after a loan spell in which he featured 15 times.
He went back to his parent club before Christmas and that looks the end of the matter, particularly as the trio of Adam Watkins, Alex Lawless and Keith Keane have started to form a promising partnership in the centre of the park.
Brabin said: “Jamie was a fantastic character but hadn’t nailed down a place in the squad that was his own, so it makes sense not to pursue it.
"He did great when he was here and he’ll certainly get a glowing reference from me.”
