Luton Town midfielder Jake Howells has been included in the 18-man Welsh Under-21 squad to face Andorra in a UEFA Under-21 Championships Qualifying and club manager Gary Brabin is delighted for the youngster.
“I’m really pleased,” said Hatters manager Gary Brabin. “From a selfish manager’s point of view it is disappointing to lose players for international games, but it’s also good to see the players getting recognition with those international callups.
“Jake is enjoying his football more than ever now that he is playing further up the field – he’s thriving on it.
“Not only is he getting better and better every game, but he’s improving every day I watch him in training.
“He thoroughly deserves this call-up and is definitely one for the future.”
The match takes place at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground on Wednesday, February 29.
