Taiwo Atieno could be set for a return to Luton Town on a year long deal, according to reports.

 

The Kenyan international striker signed on loan for the Hatters at the tail end of last season but failed to make an appearance before injuring his achilles.

 

He is believed to have been training with South African Premier League champions Supersport United in the summer, but a move to secure a deal there fell through.

 

Town's top goalscorer from last season Tom Craddock left Kenilworth Road for an undisclosed fee on transfer deadline day after a late swoop from League Two side Oxford United, and a move for Atieno could be as cover for the departed forward.
