Debutant Andre Boucaud was happy with his first outing in a Luton Town shirt after what he said were ‘frustrating’ delays to life at Kenilworth Road due to the recent cold weather.

“It was good to finally get out there and get the win. I’m pleased with my performance,” he said after yesterday’s 3-0 hom win over Tamworth.

“We’ve had to change our training, we’ve had a few days in the gym, and a few days on the Astroturf as we couldn’t play on the grass due to the snow.

“It has been frustrating, but I can’t do anything about the weather.”

After some decent forays forward during his bow, the midfielder also said he was trying to add goals to his game.

“That is what I’m working on in training,” he explained. “Goals haven’t happened a lot throughout my career, but hopefully they can here.”

The Hatters now face a long midweek trip to Barrow and Boucaud believes the match could be tricky.

He said: “The conditions up there aren’t great, the pitch isn’t great, but it’s one of those games where you have to stand up and be counted, which I’m sure we will.”
