Murphy makes difference for Ampthill

SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE DIVISION ONE ROUND-UP
Wednesday March 10

Ampthill Town triumphed over Crawley Green with Dave Murphy scoring providing the only goal of the game four minutes into the second half.

Cranfield United lost 5-1 away to Hadley with Marcel Jones hitting all of them for the home team after Gary Hutchinson had put United infront after 18 minutes.

It was the same score south of the county as Terry Billy bagged a brace for AFC Dunstable in a rampant final half an hour when the Creasey Park club beat Brache Sparta.

A Gareth Harnaman penalty on 31 minutes was quickly cancelled out by Brache's Tuneay Odernmu eight minutes later to go in at the break all square. The score remained that way until Craig Butler edged AFC infront on 72 minutes, a goal which opened the floodgates.

Billy struck twice in five minutes to put the game beyond doubt before Richard Harker capped off the night with the fifth on 84 minutes.
