Dubious refereeing decisions cost Bedford their first win in a fast paced game against Truro.

The result means that the Eagles remain unbeaten, taking a point from each of their three games so far.

An eventful first ten minutes saw Town have a goal disallowed for offside following a goalmouth scramble when Ian Draycott slotted the ball into the net, but he was deemed to be marginally offside.

However, the Eagles soon took the lead when Draycott laid the ball off to his brother Phil whose cross was tapped in by Craig Daniel.

Bedford kept pressing throughout the remainder of the half, but it was not until after the break that they had their next real chance.

On 60 minutes Michael McKenzie was victim to a poor tackle from behind in the area. No penalty was awarded however, and with the ball back in play Bedford conceded a costly free kick from which Truro’s Alex Jeannin headed the ball past Bedford’s Ian Brown to equalise.

Graham Clark soon tested Truro once again, forcing a good save from their goalkeeper, but after this the game calmed down with the sides seemingly settling for a draw.
