Backlog as Eagles lose a pitch battle

Bedford Town were beaten again - by the weather.

The Eagles were due to face Stourbridge at The New Eyrie but the fixture was wiped out due to a waterlogged pitch.

Eagles are now facing a backlog of matches as four of their last six games have been postponed.

Eagles have won only one out of their last five outings, 2-1 at Bashley three weeks ago, and find themselves 18th in the Southern League Premier table with only five points separating them from the three clubs below.

Town will now hope to play Rugby Town at home on Tuesday night, as long as the pitch is fit.
