Tigers are ready to roar claims Richbell

Bedford Tigers Rugby League Club kick off their Co-Operative RLC East competition on Saturday with an away trip to Norwich Saxons.

Last season the Tigers ran in eight tries against the East Anglia outfit head coach Sam Richbell and his assistant Andy Champ have big aspirations for the 2011 season having fallen short of the championship in 2010, losing out to Northampton who went on to claim the national title.

“There was no shame in losing to Northampton in last year’s final,” said Richbell who also plays for Bedford Athletic in the other code. “They had built that side over a three-year period and now that they’ve taken promotion it’s down to us to prove we’re the best club in this league.”
