THESE image were captured today (December 27) after the River Great Ouse burst its banks.

The rapidly rising water level is threatening to put roads in Oakkley and Harrold out of use, with more rain forecast for this weekend.

Last night, the Environment Agency issued a flood warning to the region with 'immediate action' suggested for those living near to the banks.

Cruises on the John Bunyan Community Boat along the Embankment and up to Cardington Lock have also been suspended until the river returns to normal.
