Woman seriously injured in HGV collision

AccidentBedfordshire Police are seeking witnesses to a road collision which happened on Tuesday morning in Steppingley Road, Flitwick and left a passenger with serious injuries.

At around 11.35am a heavy goods vehicle collided with a Ford Fiesta close to Steppingley Hospital which resulted in the passenger of the car being trapped. Members of Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service were able to remove the top of the vehicle and the 37-year-old female passenger was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital for treatment and her condition is now stable.

Officers from Bedfordshire Police’s Road Collision Unit have started an enquiry to establish exactly how the collision occurred and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
