Carol Haggerwood was diagnosed with cancer in April this year and is currently receiving chemotherapy.
She was told that her hair may thin out because of the treatment and decided to take matters into her own hands and get it cut.
Her friends and family helped her to raise £500 for the cut at Haywardlane hair and beauty in Putnoe.
This week she presented a cheque for the amount to St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger.
