Alarge amount of gold jewellery including an 18 carat ring with three diamonds was stolen from a property in a raid on Saturday.
Police have released pictures of some of the stolen property that was taken from the house in Days Lane, Biddenahm, and are asking the public to come forward and tell them if they have been offered jewellery matching this description.
The officer in charge of this investigation, Detective Constable Amanda Durrant, of the Special Operations Team, based at Greyfriars Police Station, is keen to trace anyone who has information relating to the burglary and the whereabouts of the jewellery.
DC Durrant said: “Some of this jewellery is very distinctive and at some point the offender will have to try to sell it on to an unsuspecting member of the public or a member of the second hand jewellery trade. I would ask anyone who has information relating to this jewellery to come forward and help this investigation.”
The items pictured are:
*BANGLE – 9ct Gold hinged bangle (16mm wide) featuring plain rear section, and deep swirl engraved front. Push clasp with slide action fitting.
*BROOCH – 9ct Gold brooch (approx. 35mm) comprising three furled fern leaves, tied at the base with a small bow.
*BRACELET – Sterling silver 21cm long fancy bracelet, comprising nine large rope style twist links.
*NECKLET – 9ct 43cm long 9ct Gold fancy box link necklet, comprising of two strand fringe/tassel front, with a knot style gather.
*NECKLET - 9ct Gold 72cm long belcher chain.
*PENDANT – White 40cm gold pendant, comprising a trace link pendant flanking a trefoil joint set with a single seed pearl, from which a knife edged bar drop is suspended, terminating in a trefoil of seed pearls and an oval pierced Jadeite 17.59mm x 23mm. This is housed in a calf head shaped case marked ‘Rattray and Co, Dundee’.
*RING – 18ct Gold ring set with three diamonds.
*WATCH – Fob watch set in a 18ct gold case. 40cm diameter, fully chased with floral/swirl and quilted design. White Roman dial face enclosing a key wound jewelled movement. Plate engraved ‘David Burnfield, South Methven Street, Perth’.
