This Friday, members of GSK Stevenage are running an Orange Day charity event at Derwent Lower School in Henlow.
They will be painting a picket fence around the reception class playground, tying up some willow into tunnels and wigwams for the children to play in and digging out old compacted flower beds and filling with gravel, so the children can use pots to plant things in.
The day has been sponsored not only by GSK staff giving up their time for this event, but also by Total Waste Management which has supplied the skip and by the head teacher, Caroline Howell, for supplying the materials needed for the painting.
A BBQ has been organised by the charity coordinator, Lian Blyth, to keep everyone’s strength up to finish the job!
The staff have been sponsored by Jamie from Total Waste Management and want to thank Paul Cherry for his kind donation for materials and Henlow Building Supplies for materials.
