CELEBRITIES have been showing off their racing skills as part of a driving fundraiser.

The Circuit saw a number of professional drivers and celebs including former F1 driver Mark Blundell, former England rugby player and TV presenters Carol Smillie and Charlie Webster, take to the track at Bedford Autodrome on Thursday morning. Falkland's War Veteran Simon Weston OBE, Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards and former F1 racing driver known for being the former presenter on Top Gear Tiff Needell were among the team captains who headed up six groups at the event.

It's all to raise money for the NSPCC with the event first being created back in 2009 by NSPCC Sports Board members Nick Mason (Pink Floyd's drummer) and Paul Richardson from Barclay's Wealth with the support of former F1 Mark Blundell.

The celebs and drivers had the chance to test out their paces in various high performance vehicles including the Formula Jaguar Single Seater, Ariel Atom 3, BMW M3 GTP and the Caterham 7 Superlight.

More to follow.
