Anumber of shops and businesses were without power for nearly two hours on Monday morning.
Due to a fault on the underground electricity network around 14 stores in The Arcade and Lime Street, Bedford, were affected and were without power between 10.30am and 12.10pm.
Aspokeswoman for UKPower Networks said engineers worked quickly to get supplies back to normal and that they were investigating the cause and apologised to customers.
