Possible delays as religious procession takes place

Motorists are warned that there may be some traffic delays in Bedford town centre on Sunday (September 12).

Members of the Catholic Church on Brereton Road are forming a procession between the church and Bedford Park starting at 2pm from the church.

The route will be Midland Road, Greyfriars, Bromham Road, Harpur Street, The Broadway and into De Parys Avenue.

It is expected that between 150 and 450 people will take part in the procession before holding an open air service in the park.

The procession could last up to two hours, so motorists are advised to allow extra time for any journey that takes in the route at the relevant time.
