Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in a town centre pharmacy.
The offence happened at around 12.30pm on Thursday, January 12 when the 42-year-old victim was shopping in the Superdrug store in Allhallows, Bedford. As she was standing in the aisle, the offender bumped into her and then put his left hand around her breast and groped her.
The woman pushed the offender away asking what he was doing before he walked to the counter, paid for some items and left the store.
He is described as white, in his mid to late 50s, with light coloured hair and he was wearing a black suede coat, black trousers and rectangular style glasses.
Detective Constable Emma Dahl said: “Bedfordshire Police take sexual offences extremely seriously and we are keen to locate this individual as soon as possible to stop him committing any future crimes.
“I’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence or anyone else who may have information – however small or insignificant they think it is – that could help us. Don’t dismiss your information as unimportant – even tiny details which don’t seem relevant now might become useful later on in the investigation.”
