Man taken to hospital after car hits tree

A man has been taken to hospital following a late night road traffic collision on Monday night.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were alerted to the Clapham Road in Clapham at 10.14pm after a vehicle struck a tree. An ambulance from Kempston attended the scene.

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "A man who we believe to be in his 40s was taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital with slight injuries."
