Outspoken MP Nadine Dorries, who is both ‘loved and loathed in equal measure’, has been voted the best member of parliament on Twitter by online government critics, politics.uk.
The website voted the Mid- Bedfordshire Tory the best Twitter MP for her tenacity, commending her on her on being ‘cheeky, fun and very human’ while at the same time being a ‘right-wing evangelical religious attack dog’.
Ms Dorries scored 26 points overall, 10 for her entertainment factor, seven for information, four for constituency related tweets and five for regularity.
She said: “I’m really pleased and grateful to have been judged the best MP on Twitter.
“I use the site as a means by which to communicate better with my constituents and inform them of the work I am doing on their behalf in Westminster and in Mid Bedfordshire.
“Over the summer recess I will be out and about in the constituency and encourage anyone who wants my help to let me know in person, by post, email or on Twitter.”
