THE greatly anticipated Higgins museum, set to open in Bedford in the coming weeks, is on the hunt for staff to cater its cafe.
The Higgins, formerly the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery and Bedford Museum, is expected to have around 80,000 visitors a year, 20,000 more that its predecessor, come through its new entrance in Castle Gardens and is now searching for a catering staff to add food to the experiences it will offer.
In addition to a range of new and improved exhibitions, the site will also have a cafe area both inside and outside for use of the general public and larger groups visiting the site.
The catering service will provide for visitors, on site activities and events and operate indepedently to the museum itself with different opening times.
Last month, Bedford Midweek reported that The Higgins was making progress towards the re-opening by moving in collections of artwork and furniture, however an exact date for the big day has not yet been revealed.
