Company among four finalists for Startup title

Local business, Earthware, has been flagged up as a finalist in the 2008 Startups awards.

The company, which uses web-based 3D modelling and mapping to help businesses market products, is chasing the team of the year prize.

The company was launched in January last year by friends Neil and Brian Norman from Arlesey.

They then worked in partnership with Biggleswade-based NovaLoca to bring a new way of marketing commercial property on the web.

Pitted against three other hopefuls in the Startup awards, Earthware is one of the first to use Microsoft Virtual Earth in areas including property and travel.

Operations Director Neil Osmond said: "We aim to give our clients and their customers the wow factor by bringing products to life in 3D form."

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel in London tomorrow.
