Air ambulance lands on sports field in life saving operation

Written byKATHRYN CAIN

AN air ambulance made a dramatic landing on a school sports field after a man suffered a heart attack in a nearby block of flats.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to Bedford Modern School's sports field in Clarendon Street, Bedford on Sunday afternoon to reports that a man was experiencing a cardiac arrest and was in desperate need of urgent care.

The aircraft landed on the green and staff managed to restart his heart before he was taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital by land ambulance.

More to come.
