Warden Hills Nature Reserve

Museums Luton is organising free guided nature walks for the family this summer in and around the town. This is the perfect opportunity to get fit and find out more about habitats and wildlife.
The Butterfly Walk takes place on Sunday, August 1 from 1.30pm to 4pm.
During this walk you can get a close look at the butterflies of the chalk downland and learn to identify these beautiful and important insects.
For this walk, run in partnership with the Wildlife Trust, meet in the car park at the corner of Warden Hill Road and Links Way.
On Sunday, August 15 there is a treat for the more experienced walker. The Two Chiltern Counties Ramble is an extended walk of about 10 miles. It will take place from 10am to 4pm.
This walk is also free and those wanting to take part should meet in the car park of Luton Regional Sports Centre. During this walk you will get to experience an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the adjoining countryside around Lilley and Hexton.
Guided walks may include rough ground, unmade paths, open fields and slopes.
All participants are requested to wear suitable footwear and outdoor clothing suitable for the time of the year.
