Project to bring community together

HEAR AND NOW
All Saints Church, Westbourne Road
Saturday, July 31, at 7pm

This unique inter-generational project is the third stage in a collaboration between the Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestras Live, Fusion Youth
Singing and the Alzheimer’s Society ‘Music 4 Memory’ group.

Sheet musicOver the course of five days, the groups will work together under the leadership of project leader Tim Steiner, creating and composing their own
music.

The inspiration for their work will come from the participants themselves, through discussion and reminiscences, and they will perform the new work in a celebration concert in their own community of Queens Park.

Before this workshop, the first part of the project consists of intensive mentoring sessions between July 24-31.

It will culminate in a special performance at the church where all the participants will perform their new piece.

The concert will also bring together other musical groups from within the Queens Park community, with music performed by Indian singer Pooja
and Islamic singers Huda, as well as the Philharmonia Orchestra ensemble.

Admission is free.
