Described as an ‘infinitely loopier Madness’ this ten-piece formation have had a whirlwind journey and they are hosting a belated festive party later this month.

After six years of relentless gigging, New Groove Formation (NGF) have qualified as one of the UK’s most entertaining and energetic live acts on the underground festival and club circuit.

And they most recently had their Christmas single - Xmas Eve (I Want to Spend it With You) - played on Radio 1. The track raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Cancer Research UK.

NGF have supported old school legends like, Bad Manners, Neville Staples, The Beat and Ska Ville UK alongside more recent and up and coming bands such as the Dead 60s, Imperial Leisure and more recently The Levellers, Dreadzone, Zion Train and the Free Stylers.

With their first album Crowd Control released in 2007, their second serving, Who Made the Rules, made its debut in 2010 at Bedford River Festival. Their new album, entitled Summer in a Glass, is due to be released very soon.

NGF fuse funk, ska and reggae, mix in some horns, didge and percussion, then add energetic tones and electrifying rap.

Their power is projected with great force and lifts all unsuspecting audiences in front of any stage. Tickets are £6 on the door.
