The building got the thumbsup last September - now it's the turn of the art work that has been produced there throughout the last nine months to go on display.

Bedford College Art, Design and Media students' end-of-year exhibition always comes as a surprise.
Not only because some of the ideas are cutting edge stuff but also because, year after year, the standard of work is very high.
It's a great showcase for the individual artists and it's an excellent opportunity for anyone considering signing up for a course at the college to get an idea of what they can expect there.
Karolina Koch is a first year student on the HND graphics course. She has recently received recognition from D & AD (British Design and Art Direction) for the quality of the entry she submitted in response to one of their global student advertising briefs.
The brief was to design a poster that would encourage more people to go to see opera and ballet at the Royal Opera House. But it had to be innovative; to break the mould.
Rather than focussing on the tenor's top C or the tutus Karolina's poster highlights the pain and suffering some performers endure for their art.

ANOTHER former Bedford art student, this one a graduate of the University of Bedfordshire with an MA in Art & Design, is showcasing her work in the first solo exhibition to be held at The Eagle Gallery, Bedford this week.
In Imaginary of the Female, Ali Goodyear explores the female form and confronts attitudes to it. She uses paint and fabric to transform the viewer's perception of the body.
Imaginary of the Female runs until June 28. The Eagle Gallery is open from 10am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, admission is free.
JUST one Bedford artist has succeeded in getting work into the 2008 Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.
For the umpteenth year running Eric Seeley, who as a hairy art student studied at the RA, had a painting chosen from among the 10,000 works submitted to hang in the world's largest opensubmission contemporary art exhibition.
