Healthy But Nice

Healthy but nice! A tasty recipe that the whole family will love.

Will they enable you to see in the dark? Maybe... but one thing is for sure: carrots are cheap, nutritious and very good for you.

During the Second World War, carrots were one of the few vegetables in plentiful supply. They were actually used as a substitute for sugar, which was a scarce ingredient. People were encouraged to try recipes such as carrot jam, carrot marmalade, toffee carrots and carrot buns. So although carrots are normally associated with savoury dishes, why not add some immune boosting vitamin A to your favourite sweet recipes with some grated carrot.
