FOOTBALL shirts and photos signed by David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and George Best have been stolen from a house.

The burglary took place in Tyne Crescent, Bedford, on August 4, between 2.45pm and 4.15pm.

Other items taken included televisions, computers, a Ferrari watch, a platinum necklace and graphite golf clubs.

Detective Constable Lynn Adams said: “The offender has managed to also steal a large amount of collectable football memorabilia which is worth a considerable amount of money. This includes signed football shirts and photos of footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, George Best, Bobby Charlton, Denis Law, Pele and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, an Alex Ferguson training top and signed England and Real Madrid shirts.

“These items are easy to recognise and the person who took them will eventually have to try to sell them on. I would urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of these items or anyone who is offered this type of item for sale to contact the police, in confidence.”

If you have information relating to this incident you can contact DC Adams, at Greyfriars Police Station, in confidence, on 01234 275142, or Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
