EX-CHIEF Whip Andrew Mitchell has denied claims made by Mid-Bedfordshire MP Nadine Dorries' daughters that their mum asked for permission to leave her constituency for a month.

During an interview with ITV's Daybreak on Monday, Jennie and Philippa Dorries told presenters Aled Jones and Lorraine Kelly that the MP had asked Mr Mitchell if she could take the month off but they were not sure if it was clear it was so she could compete in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Jennie told Daybreak: ‘She did ask for the month off. The Chief Whip gave her permission. She did all she had to do before she left. She made arrangements for someone to take her place on Remembrance Sunday.’

However late yesterday afternoon (Monday, November 19) the former Chief Whip spoke out claiming he had done no such thing.

A spokesman for Mr Mitchell said: "Andrew Mitchell was neither asked nor did he agree to Nadine Dorries going off to Australia for a month to take part in I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.'

I wouldn't believe a word Dorries says and intend to write to the Conservative Party. This MP does not care when she tells lies

I do not believe Dorries asked for permission nor do I believe the daughters. I doubt the ex Whip would ahve agreed to having an MP make an utter fool of herself nor would he agree for her to use this crass show as Political side show. Now we read there was husband number 1 before husband Nu 2 who has also been left by the wayside and quite ill and then John Butler and Now a Vet. Never has such arrogance been shown as this MP has and fast beimg known as Man Mad instead of Mad Nad. She should be stood down. Only after many people showed their disgust did she suddenly say she would give her months salary to Charity. Her photo shoot in the Tatler was demeaning going on this programme has been for the money and as always the attention. She is NOT a Celebrity she is a disgrace.

Ahhhh bless, the Dorries brood trying to justify their mother's jolly to the jungle. Maybe need to get their facts right before they go on TV next time.
