There have been some smiling faces around the Bedford mayor’s office this week.
Dave Hodgson is still revelling in Newcastle United’s return to the Premiership, but even happier is his assistant Robin Thomas, who is even more delighted that his team, Barnet, managed to survive a possible exit from the Football League on the last day of the season.
