You may recall one of the Ball family reporting the rather large rat that popped out at the bicycle sheds at Bedford railway station.

There is an even dirtier rat today as the traveller returns to find his rather expensive bicycle nicked. The ever helpful British Transport Police are on the case and they may have the CCTV footage early next week.

By which time, we assume, our thief could have safely pedalled to John O’Groats.
