OUR reporter is at a court and is surprised to see a woman from a local BBC radio station, for the second day running, looking for stories.
As they sit down for the beginning of a case, our hack is asked if they can swap contact details as the woman didn’t know if she’d be able to cover the whole hearing.
Even more surprised, the reporter asks what she means.
I get it now – we’ll do all the hard work and then just give everyone else our stories.
We might even bring you a cuppa and a choccy biscuit while we’re at it . . . if you’re lucky.

CRIMINALS have found a novel way of getting out of their court hearings . . . just turn up so drunk that you’re not even allowed in the building.
Unhappy magistrates had to turn away one defendant who was so inebriated before 11am today, that he could hardly say his name, let alone enter a plea. They told him to return the next day, but with a new condition . . . he must be sober.
BEDFORD mayor, Dave Hodgson, attends the relaunch of Eagle IPA at the Well’s and Young’s brewery.
As he makes his way to the bar, he’s stopped by a fan who tells him that he contacted the Mayor’s office to invite him to an event that’s taking place next year.
The admirer says: “I was told that you might not be Mayor next year!” Mr Hodgson tells him that is correct as there is to be an election next May.
He was told: “I hope you are” before continuing to the bar.
