Motorists heading towards Milton Keynes on the A421 have had their heads turned by blackboard offers outside the Chester Arms at Chicheley.
They include “topless barstaff” and “free beer tomorrow”. Those who get over the shock might not have spotted the “Not really” sign next to it, plus, as we know, tomorrow never comes. Nice try though. Cheers!
Mystified parents have been given the ‘buzz’ around by a sign that’s appeared in Bedford School’s car park.
A quick phone call to the school sets the record straight.
A bees’ nest was discovered in the area and after specialists removed it, the sign was up for a few days as a precaution.
And there was me thinking the locals were warning people of the sound from the vuvuzelas during the World Cup.
